There are many customization possibilities.

Let me start on the positive side. This software has many functions that other similar software does not have. It is easy to use, very customizable and can generate high-quality renderings on a large number of faces. It is easy to become the best software on the iPad Pro. A small problem is that the software lacks the ability to more finely control the model topology. I often find the formation of unnecessary quadrilaterals, or meet in strange ways and create visible seams on my model while smoothing. However, if the character you are sculpting does not require animation, using dynamic topology is a simple solution.

There are more customization options for the material, and UV is also very good, but my main problem with this software is how much battery it consumes. It consumes the battery so fast that even if it is plugged into the wall, the charging cannot meet the power demand. Prior to this, I have been trying to find a sculpting application that I like to use, but after using the application for a few hours, I am happy to say that this has changed.

The user interface is simple and intuitive, especially when you are fully familiar with the desktop engraving application. I have never spent more than a minute figuring out how to do anything I want to do, usually, the tools or options I'm looking for are right in front of me or within reach.

More importantly, the carving feels good. It responds quickly. All the basic brushes you might expect exist, at least for me they meet 99% of my needs. I haven't delved into the brush options, but they seem to be in-depth I obviously haven't fully explored the limitations of the app, but I know I will spend some time in the next few weeks researching how to best use it. I can easily see myself using this application for basic work in order to export and complete in Zbrush. I am a 2D illustrator and dabble in the 3D world. Drawing with a pencil/stylus is the most natural for me, but I have always been eager to recreate my character in a 3-dimensional space. For several weeks, I have been watching tutorials for other programs, learning topology, planes, and vertices, and memorizing one million hotkeys. Although this research is very rewarding, I still find it too troublesome to do only one movement. One step. It took Nomad a while to get used to it. After playing for a few days and watching some tutorials, I was able to sculpt a bust of one of my characters! To be honest, these tools feel very good, they bridge the gap between flat illustrations and 3D models. I can really chisel out flowing shapes like painting.

This app is great! It has almost all the core features I like to use in ZBrush, and the response speed is very good (I use Gen 1 iPad Pro, even). It has a clean user interface/user experience that will not hinder you, but it will be there when you look for it (not a small feat!)

If you are familiar with ZBrush, the professional features, such as the ability to mesh/dynamically name and mask (including clicking the mask to invert), are really great. It’s a bit exciting to have an animation layer because I didn’t expect this feature to appear in the iOS app.

I have tried some other engraving programs, but they always have some weird quirks that make them feel less professional. In contrast, I can easily see myself using it to sculpt the base mesh as a starting point and then finishing it in ZBrush.

As part of the purchase, the fact that it provides you with OBJ and STL exports makes it a good value for money. I have never really done 3D modeling before, but after the latest procreate update, I thought I should give it a try, my goodness, compared to many other sculpting programs, this is very user-friendly! It took me about 5 minutes to master these tools. I didn’t even need to find tutorials or anything, and I had already made some things that I thought looked good for my first digital sculpture. Some settings and content may be confusing, but it may just be because I am a novice. My only real complaint is that the app does not perform UV mapping, so the content cannot be exported directly to the app that needs it. To be honest, I’m not a developer, and I don’t know if what I’m talking about meets the iPad’s specifications, but I’m just wishful thinking.
